Yellow: Race in America Beyond Black and White by Frank H. Wu – With so many children being adopted from China and Vietnam learning about race beyond black and white is extremely important.  Wu suggests that the widespread stereotyping of Asian Americans, while “superficially positive,” is inherently damaging.  Raising a child of a different culture and race means exploring how they will be perceived and treated in this race conscious society.  While Wu doesn’t have all the answers but he makes some interesting points and suggestions.  amazon.com price $11.53
